I'm surprised at the excitement over Weezer's Blue Album/Pinkerton tour, particularly among lapsed Weezer fans. To quote Dobi: "Isn't this like watching Ric Flair [wrestle] Hulk Hogan in 2010?"
As neither Blue Album nor Pinkerton are very long albums, both shows will also feature a "greatest hits" set, presumably composed predominantly of reasons why lapsed Weezer fans lapsed.
If I'm Weezer, and I see an exodus in the audience after my Blinkerton set, I play a few songs off Green Album through Hurley and then bust out the other half of Blinkerton in full.
